About Vivien

Professional Summary / Key Tips Section I am a native French speaker with a strong academic background and teaching experience. I studied literature in preparatory classes and completed a Master’s in Military History, which has given me excellent skills in analysis, communication, and structured teaching. I also completed a teaching internship in a French college, where I developed a very pedagogical, patient, and adaptable approach to students of all ages. Additionally, I lived in Toronto, reaching C1 level in English, which allows me to effectively teach French to English speakers. I create lessons tailored to each student, focusing on conversation, grammar, vocabulary, and culture. About the lesson

My Approach to Tutoring

I believe that learning a language should be fun, engaging, and tailored to each student’s needs. My lessons focus on conversation, grammar, vocabulary, and French culture, so that students not only speak correctly but also gain confidence and enjoy the learning process.

I use a flexible and personalized teaching methodology:

For beginners, I focus on building basic vocabulary and simple conversation.

For intermediate and advanced students, we work on fluency, pronunciation, complex grammar, and cultural topics.

I include interactive exercises, real-life scenarios, and discussions about history, geopolitics, and current events to make lessons engaging.

Lesson length: Typically 1 hour, but I can adapt to 30 or 45 minutes depending on the student’s preference.

Qualifications and experience:

Literary preparatory classes (Prépa Lettres)

Master’s degree in Military History

Internship as a college teacher, developing strong pedagogical skills

Lived in Toronto and achieved C1 level English, so I can teach French to English speakers effectively
