About Samantha

I'm a native French teacher with 5 years of experience helping English speakers speak French with confidence.

Over the years, I've worked with more than 200 students, many of them expats living in France who could read a novel or follow a conversation, but froze the moment they had to speak.

I understand this struggle deeply, not just as a teacher, but personally. I've been an expat myself for more than 10 years, and I've lived in Malta for the past 4 of them. I know firsthand what it's like to navigate a new country, a new language, and the vulnerability of speaking imperfectly in front of others especially in the business environement.

That's why my teaching isn't built around grammar textbooks. It's built around real conversation, real situations, and a judgment-free space where making mistakes is part of the process, not something to be ashamed of. Whether you're preparing to move to France, need French for your job, or simply want to stop translating in your head before you speak, I'll meet you where you are and build a plan around your specific goals.

About the lesson

Bonjour ! I'm a native French teacher with 5 years of experience helping English speakers to confidently holding real conversations in French.

I specialize in three areas:

- French conversation : Structured, judgment-free conversation practice designed to break the freeze. We work on real-life situations like ordering at the boulangerie, chatting with neighbors, small talk at work so you build fluency through actual speaking, not just grammar drills.

- French for Business : Professional French for meetings, emails, presentations, and networking. Whether you're relocating for work or already navigating a French workplace, we'll focus on the vocabulary and confidence you need to sound credible and at ease.

- Prepare your Expatriation : Moving to France? Get ahead before you land. We'll cover the essential vocabulary and phrases for daily life, and the cultural nuances that make settling in so much smoother.

My lessons are personalized, conversational, and built around your goals : not a generic textbook. I know exactly where English speakers tend to get stuck (false friends, pronunciation traps, the fear of making mistakes), and I focus on getting you talking from lesson one.
