About Marie

I have lived in three different countries and speak French, English, and Spanish. I am also currently studying German at the B1 level. Because I am a language learner myself, I understand the frustration, awkwardness, repetition, and persistence that come with learning to communicate in another language.

This helps me relate to my students and explain things in a practical, patient way. I love languages, and I hope to pass that enthusiasm on to the people I teach.

I also believe learning should be enjoyable. I use humor, conversation, and real-life examples to make lessons more engaging and easier to remember.

About the lesson

My lessons are structured around the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), using the internationally recognized A1–C2 proficiency levels. This allows us to identify your current level, set clear goals, and measure your progress over time.

I adapt each lesson to the student’s needs, whether the goal is conversation, grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary, school support, travel, professional French, or simply becoming more confident speaking the language.

I also enjoy explaining why French works the way it does, including word origins, expressions, grammar patterns, and connections between French and other languages. Understanding these connections often makes the language much easier to remember.

Most importantly, I want lessons to be engaging and enjoyable. If you are motivated to learn, I am happy to work with you, whatever your current level.
