About Zoé

I am a native francophone from montréal currently studying biology (and neurosciences) in college. I love working with the cognitive aspect of memory and learning especially when it relates to linguistics. Teaching myself a new language is a challenge i took apon in my late teens and I fell in love with the progress of it all. I specifically loved discovering new ways to learn more efficiently said language. It ended saving me lots of time and efforts and I wanted to help others do the same. I started to actively tutor in french more than a year ago. I had the chance to take apon new challenges with each clients. My range of teaching/tutoring was broad and it still is, from childrens with learning disabilities to immigrant parents with very little time on their hands. Your win is my win.

One of my most advantageous point is my adaptability and flexibility towards you and my schedule. Since I am a college students lessons can go from 8am to 10pm depending on the days. I am also very open to any change in the lesson plan, my goal is to make you feel confident in your congnitive abilities and supporting your success in learning french. Again, I am here for you!

About the lesson

The lessons plan is going to differs depending on the following three categories:

1- Your motivation behind learning the language : school, work, for fun, everyday tasks etc... or to pass a standardized test needed for a visa or a citizenship

2- Your initial level in french: new to the language, beginner, intermidiate, advanced etc...

3- The amount of effort you can put in learning a new language: sometimes learning a language falls short in terms of everyday priorities (I will ajust the amount of homework and preparation according to your freedom of schedules.)
I understand, I am myself a student that self taught herself a language admist the enormous workload my studies, my work and taking care of my family put on me. I am the first one to tell you its possible!

Let me show you the ways to fluency in french (my native language). Comprehension is the first step. French is a very normal latin language, that only seem unusually hard because of a lot of ''surperficial'' rules. On you start seeing and understanding the patterns in the structure and lexicon of the language, I promise that your growth will be exponential:)

Im excited to work with you towards your goal!

Une superbe tutrice qui a tous les besoins particuliers de ses élèves à cœur: elle a su s’adapter au plan d’intervention nécessaire pour la progression, elle connaît sa matière et la grammaire s’est rapidement améliorée. She’s the best around and I wouldn’t have it any other way — truly one of the best people I’ve had the pleasure of meeting on my path. Thank you Zoé!
