About Lorena

Hi, I’m Lorena, a native German speaker with a strong passion for languages, teaching, and helping others grow in their learning journey. I was born and raised in Germany and now live in Cape Town, where I’m completing my Master’s degree in Physiology. I also have a background in Sports Science, which has taught me how to break down complex topics in a clear and motivating way — whether on the field or in the classroom. I’ve worked with learners of all ages and backgrounds, both in coaching and tutoring, and I truly enjoy adapting my lessons to each student’s unique goals and personality. Whether you're learning German for school, work, travel, or just for fun, I’m here to support you with patience, encouragement, and practical methods that really work. Outside of teaching, I love traveling, sports, and working on community projects — and I always bring positive energy into my sessions. Let’s make learning German not only effective but also something you look forward to every week!

About the lesson

I aim to make learning German enjoyable, practical, and adapted to each student’s goals — whether you’re just starting out, preparing for exams, or looking to improve your conversation skills. My lessons are tailored to your level and learning style, with a mix of speaking, listening, grammar, and vocabulary practice. I focus on building real-life communication skills while helping you feel confident and supported every step of the way. I teach in German and English, depending on what suits you best, and I work with: - Complete beginners who want to learn the basics - School or university students needing academic support - Travelers or expats preparing for life in German-speaking countries - Adults and professionals aiming to improve fluency or business German A typical lesson is interactive, relaxed, and focused on helping you speak from day one — with clear explanations, practical exercises, and space to ask questions. Whether you're learning for fun, study, or work, I’m here to help you succeed at your own pace. Let’s make German a language you love to speak!
