About Pantelis

Hello hello, I am Pantelis and I teach modern Greek. I'm a native Greek speaker, living in UK for the past 12 years. I'm very friendly and open to tailor our lessons to achieve your personal goals. My goal is to make learning Greek, fun and educational as we are going to go through the teaching material.

About the lesson

I would like firstly to know your level of experience and your goals. For all my students, I make sure to include a fun phrase or idiom every lesson to help you speak like a native. For beginners, I focus on building sentences and vocabulary, for the context you want, e.g. for going on holiday. You can choose to focus just on conversation, but I can also teach writing and reading to interested students. For intermediate learners, we'll explore a new set of vocabulary or grammatical structure, each lesson and develop your confidence in conversation as well as reading and writing. For advanced learners, we'll explore Greek literature or practise your conversational skills in a topic of your choice. Online - 60mins In person* - 60mins *for people located in Sheffield

Deadly! I’m so glad I chose Pantelis – I had a terrific lesson with him. He was keen to find out what I needed, and he adapted the lesson to fit that. He’s fun to work with and was really helpful with vocab and pronunciation. It felt easy talking and learning with him and I think it will help to build my confidence and enjoyment in speaking Greek. He has lots of ideas for lessons and is also very open to your suggestions and requests. Don’t hesitate!

Pantelis always makes lessons fun and gives lots of examples of how greek humour works which makes the early stages of learning the language more lively, when you're still figuring out how to form sentences it's nice to have the odd amusing phrase to hand to use as a fuller in conversation.
