About Raco

Halo! I'm Raco, a native Indonesian speaker studying Cybersecurity and Finance at the University of Sydney. I grew up in Indonesia speaking the language every day, so I teach you real, natural Indonesian, the way locals actually speak it.

Outside of study, I love running, filmmaking, and meeting people from all kinds of backgrounds. Working in FnB and retail here in Sydney has taught me a lot about patience and clear communication, which I bring into every lesson.

I'm friendly, approachable, and genuinely enjoy helping people. There's nothing better than seeing a student go from nervously saying "halo" to confidently holding a conversation.

About the lesson

Halo! My name is Raco, and I'm a native Indonesian speaker currently studying at the University of Sydney. I grew up speaking Indonesian every day, so what I teach you is the real language people actually use, not just the stiff textbook version.

I know learning a new language can feel awkward at first. That's why my lessons are relaxed and conversational. We'll laugh at mistakes (I've made plenty learning English!), build your confidence, and get you speaking from the very first lesson.

What I can help you with:

- Conversational Indonesian for travel, whether you're heading to Bali or beyond.

- Everyday vocabulary and pronunciation that sounds natural, not robotic.

- Indonesian culture, slang, and the little things textbooks never teach you.

- Lessons for complete beginners through to advanced learners.

I tailor every lesson to you. If you learn best through chatting, we'll chat. If you want structure and homework, I can do that too. I also speak English, so I can explain tricky concepts in whichever way clicks for you.

Lessons can be in person around Sydney or online, whatever suits your schedule.
