About Shuto

I have been teaching Japanese for nearly two years to students from many different backgrounds. I love sharing Japanese language and culture with people around the world.
I have lived in both Canada and Ireland, so I understand different cultures and know how to communicate with international students. I always create lessons that match each student’s goals in a fun and supportive environment.

About the lesson

My lessons are beginner-friendly! No experience needed — we start from the basics together.
Each lesson focuses on:
∙ Simple everyday phrases native speakers use
∙ Essential grammar explained in a simple, easy-to-understand way
∙ Speaking practice in a relaxed, supportive environment
∙ Fun and enjoyable conversations to keep you motivated
∙ Natural conversation rather than textbook Japanese
∙ Real-life topics like greetings, shopping, and travel
∙ Basic writing skills including Hiragana and Katakana
No preparation needed! I create all the materials myself, so you can just show up and enjoy the lesson!
