About David
Hi, I’m David, a native Korean speaker with two years of tutoring experience in Australia, where I taught Australian and international students.
I also have international work experience in both Korea, Australia and in the UK, so I understand the challenges of learning and communicating in another language and culture.
My lessons focus on practical Korean that you can actually use in real-life situations. I adapt each class to the student’s level, goals and interests, whether you want to improve everyday conversation, pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, or learn more about Korean culture.
For beginners, I can help you build a strong foundation in Hangul, basic grammar and useful everyday expressions. For intermediate learners, I focus more on natural conversation, pronunciation, listening skills and helping you speak Korean with greater confidence.
A typical lesson is around 50 minutes. I usually combine conversation practice, grammar and vocabulary explanations, pronunciation correction and practical examples. I encourage students to speak as much Korean as possible during the lesson, while using English when necessary to explain difficult concepts clearly.
From my previous tutoring experience in Australia, I learnt that every student progresses differently. I therefore keep my lessons flexible and adjust the pace and materials according to each student’s needs. My aim is to create a relaxed and friendly environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions and practising Korean.
My lessons are suitable for adults and teenagers, from complete beginners to intermediate learners. I can also help students who are interested in Korean culture, travelling to Korea, communicating with Korean friends or colleagues, or learning practical Korean for everyday life.
