About Yelena
Hi! I’m Yelena, a native Korean speaker born and raised in South Korea, currently studying at university in Brisbane.
I have both tutoring experience and experience as a student receiving tutoring myself, which helps me understand what makes a lesson effective and engaging. Through this, I’ve learned how to explain concepts clearly and adapt to different learning styles.
I’m patient, approachable, and committed to helping my students feel confident in learning Korean. I take pride in creating a supportive and professional learning environment where students can improve at their own pace.

Hi! I’m Yelena, a native Korean speaker with tutoring experience, and I focus on creating a comfortable and supportive learning environment for my students.
My teaching approach is friendly but structured. I tailor each lesson based on the student’s level and goals, whether you want to improve conversational Korean, grammar, or overall fluency. I like to combine practical speaking practice with clear explanations, so you can actually use what you learn in real-life situations. I also include cultural context to make learning more engaging and meaningful.
A typical lesson is around 60 minutes, but I can adjust the length depending on your needs.
I have experience teaching Korean to students of different levels, from complete beginners to more advanced learners. I’m patient and adaptable, and I always try to make lessons enjoyable rather than stressful.
My lessons are suitable for:
