About Jose
I'm native Latin American, I started dancing folkloric dances 20 years ago. Then in 2010 I decided to improve my Salsa skills and started learning Cuban salsa in Colombia. In 2014 I moved to New Zealand where I started teaching Salsa, Bachata and Merengue in New Plymouth, a big town in the south of the northern island. I've recently moved to the UK where I desire to continue sharing my passion for dancing.

My teaching method is based on having fun, without forcing you into intricate turns and confusing footwork. I base my classes in a natural progression of the body movement, after all, dancing is walking with rhythm. I approach each lesson accordingly, keeping you motivated, utilising stimulant music to encourage you to let go and enjoy the movements and sequences.

Deadly! Jose was very calm, took me through the basic steps, and really explained everything in a way that I could understand, and get!.
