About Emma Jo

I am a confident and professional educator with over a year of professional teaching experience. I am incredibly passionate about the connectedness that language learning can bring, and I love to inspire this in my students and watch their confidence grow. My Spanish experiences come from growing up in Southern Spain, which gave me an immense love for the culture and the language, as well as native level fluency. I have a PGCE degree in Secondary education with a focus on Modern Foreign Languages, specialising in Spanish. I also have experience teaching English through a TEFL to non-English speaking students, so don't worry if English is your second language! I am extremely passionate about teaching Spanish and look forward to helping all generations experience the joys that language learning can bring.

About the lesson

I believe learning should be fun and engaging, whilst linking learning to real-life concepts and culture. That's why my lessons focus on vocabulary and grammar introduction with engaging activities that focus on cultural integration whilst covering all modes of language learning (speaking, reading, writing). Lessons are usually around 30-60 minutes long, depending on the age and goals of the language learner. I have experience helping students acquire GCSE and A-level Spanish. I love tutoring as it allows me to develop lessons to suit the aims of each individual learner. Lessons can be tailored to suit any learning goal.
