About Chelsea

Hi I'm Chelsea, I come from Hong Kong, I'm now a postgraduate student at Monash University.

Having studied and lived in different environments, I understand the challenges of learning a foreign language and adapting to a new culture. This experience has made me a patient, encouraging, and understanding teacher who believes that every student learns differently. I take the time to understand your goals and tailor my lessons to suit your individual needs.

Outside of teaching, I enjoy learning about different cultures, traveling, and meeting people from around the world. I’m also a dog-person and crazy food lover.

Whether you're learning Mandarin or Cantonese for travel, work, study, or personal interest, I would be delighted to help you achieve your goals. I look forward to making your Chinese learning journey enjoyable, rewarding, and full of progress!

About the lesson

With over six years of teaching experience, I've helped students of different ages and backgrounds improve their Chinese in a supportive and engaging learning environment.

Whether you're a complete beginner, preparing for travel, learning Chinese for work, or hoping to improve your conversation skills, I will design lessons that match your goals, interests, and learning pace.

As someone who is fluent in both Chinese and English, I understand the common challenges English speakers face when learning Chinese. I explain grammar, pronunciation, and sentence structures in a clear and easy-to-understand way, helping students gain confidence from the very first lesson.

My lessons are interactive, practical, and personalised. Together, we can focus on:

Daily conversation and pronunciation
Chinese for travel, work, or study
Listening, speaking, reading, and writing
HSK preparation (if required)
Chinese culture, customs, and real-life communication

I believe language learning should be enjoyable and practical. My goal is to help you speak naturally and confidently while making every lesson relaxed, motivating, and rewarding.
