About Kaixiang

Hi, I’m Kaixiang, a native Chinese speaker currently studying Science in Melbourne. As a native speaker, I have a natural understanding of Mandarin pronunciation, tones, vocabulary and everyday expressions. I can help students learn not only textbook Chinese, but also the authentic language used in real-life conversations.

I understand that learning Mandarin can sometimes feel challenging, especially when it comes to tones, pronunciation and Chinese characters. Therefore, I always aim to create a patient, encouraging and comfortable learning environment where students can ask questions, practice freely and learn from mistakes without pressure.

I take every student’s goals seriously and prepare lessons according to their individual level, interests and learning needs. As a university student, I value punctuality, clear communication, careful preparation and continuous improvement. Whether you are a complete beginner or already have some experience with Mandarin, I will support you step by step and help you become a more confident Chinese speaker.

About the lesson

Hi, I’m Kaixiang, a native Chinese speaker currently studying Science in Melbourne. My lessons focus on helping students learn authentic and practical Mandarin in a friendly, patient and supportive environment.

My teaching approach is personalised according to each student’s level, interests and learning goals. I use real-life conversations, pronunciation exercises, vocabulary practice and simple examples to make Mandarin easier to understand. For beginners, I focus on Pinyin, tones, basic vocabulary and everyday expressions. For more advanced students, I can help improve speaking fluency, listening comprehension, reading, writing and natural Chinese expression.

A typical lesson begins with a short review of what we learned previously, followed by the introduction of new vocabulary or grammar. We then practise through guided conversations, pronunciation exercises, role-playing or reading activities. At the end of the lesson, I summarise the key points and suggest simple exercises for further practice.

What sets me apart is that Mandarin is my native language, so I can teach natural pronunciation, authentic expressions and explain how Chinese is actually used in everyday life. I can also introduce Chinese culture and help students understand the context behind different words and phrases. As a Science student, I value clear explanations, logical learning and structured lessons.

My lessons are suitable for children, teenagers and adults, including complete beginners and students who already have some knowledge of Mandarin. Whether you are learning Chinese for school, travel, work, cultural interest or everyday communication, I will adapt the lessons to help you achieve your personal goals.
