About Yingchen
你好，我叫Yingchen，来自中国大陆，目前在伦敦学习。我性格耐心、细心，善于根据孩子的年龄、中文基础和兴趣调整教学方式。
我希望为孩子创造轻松、有趣的中文学习环境，鼓励他们大胆开口，而不是单纯依靠背诵和重复练习。面对年龄较小的孩子，我会通过绘本、图片、儿歌、小游戏和情景对话等方式维持他们的注意力，让孩子在自然互动中逐渐熟悉并使用中文。
Hello, my name is Yingchen. I was born and raised in mainland China and am currently studying in London. I am patient, attentive and able to adapt my teaching style to each child’s age, interests and level of Mandarin.
My aim is to create a relaxed and enjoyable learning environment where children feel confident speaking Mandarin. For younger learners, I use picture books, songs, visual materials, games and role-play to keep lessons engaging and help them learn through natural interaction rather than memorisation alone.

I offer one-to-one Mandarin lessons for preschool and early primary-aged children. Lessons may include:
Everyday Mandarin speaking and listening
Pronunciation and tone correction
Chinese songs, picture books and storytelling
Basic Pinyin, character recognition and writing
Practical conversations based on everyday situations
An introduction to Chinese culture, festivals and customs
Personalised lesson content based on the child’s interests and progress
Regular feedback for parents
My lessons are suitable for complete beginners, children from bilingual families who would like to improve their spoken Mandarin, and Chinese-speaking families who want their children to maintain regular exposure to the language.
