Born and raised in Lima Peru. Former Fullbright student. I hold a Masters degree in International Relations and have 10 years of experience learning foreign languages successfully. I have tutored AP level Spanish students at university level.

My method is to immerse the student in the language from day one by speaking in Spanish. For a language student “thinking” in that language is what gets them from “knowing” a lamguage to actually speaking it. Immersion also comes in the form of being exposed to music, arts and films created by Spanish speaking artists. This helps the student learn the language and culture while having fun. Of course following the curriculum Of grammar and vocabulary is included in my as is making sure the student is understanding the material being provided in school. Phonetics and comprehension are also most important and this can be best achieved through story telling and role playing. One of the most important aspects of my teaching is making it dynamic and fun. The reason why most people wuit learning anything is because they are bored with the subject. By keeping the lesson light and interesting I help the student gain more interest and engagement in the learning process.
