About Catalina
I was born in Costa Rica, a small country in Central America (often confused with Puerto Rico). When I turned 18, I came to the US to pursue an undergraduate degree. I have been playing soccer since I was seven years old. By sticking to it with discipline, I became part of the college's women's soccer team. I love sports in general, and I believe that in order to accomplish your goals, you need to be perseverant and resilient. My friends describe me as a patient and easy-going person who can adapt to all kinds of situations.

Hello! As a current student pursuing a degree in Marketing and Product Design, I know everyone learns and understands in different ways. Hence, some of my teaching methods include active listening exercises, visual aids, note-taking, learning how to communicate about your day, and developing a conversation by talking with me throughout the session. Also, homework may vary depending on your preferred way of learning; for example, I may tell you to watch a video, listen to a podcast, or write a journal about your day. Every person is different. For this reason, by using various techniques, you will feel comfortable learning this new language.
A typical lesson plan includes going through your day and, lesson by lesson, trying to establish a more fluent conversation in Spanish. We will also go through comprehension and writing. My goal is to make you feel comfortable in a new language and for you not to be afraid of communicating with it. Lessons are for people between 13 and 35 years old. I will tailor the lessons to your learning goals, regardless of your proficiency level.
