About Elisabeth
Hi! My name is Elisabeth. I recently got my Ph.D. in Spain from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. I'm a native Spanish speaker, and I'm looking forward to helping you achieve your learning objectives. I have teaching experience at the college level and a dozen academic publications in Spanish. I'm passionate about history, art, and culture in the Spanish-speaking world and offer student-centered online classes that cater to individual learning styles and foster a deep appreciation for Spanish culture.

My teaching philosophy focuses on cultural immersion and active learning. In my classes I follow a literacy-based approach and I aim to offer my students a window into the Spanish-speaking world using authentic materials and providing them with firsthand experiences of the language.
In my lessons, I seek to create an immersive learning experience, where language is presented not only through grammar and vocabulary, but also through the music, art, literature and contemporary narratives of Spanish-speaking countries.
