About Helena

I've been a Spanish and French teacher in an independent school in Romford for the past six years. As a tutor, I have been preparing children and teenagers for their exams outside the school. I have also been teaching adults who wanted to learn the language as a hobby or a necessity.

About the lesson

My students vary from total beginners to A level students. One of my techniques is to use lots of repetition until the student feels comfortable with the structure. I usually start my lessons with a Q+A activity that reminds the student what has been done so far. I specialise in grammar and I tend to make the student practise a lot of it as I believe that grammar is a fundamental pillar of the language. We also practise pronunciation and intonation.
