About Patricia

You can call me Pat :) I came to Australia because I love discovering the world, meeting new people and keeping my mind open – and I truly believe language is one of the most powerful ways to do that. I currently work from Monday to Thursday as a Spanish teacher at a local primary school, and I give lessons to adults in the afternoons, on Friday mornings, and sometimes even on weekends. I enjoy going for walks, doing yoga, having long coffee chats and finding hidden spots around Melbourne. Even if the classes are online, I’m always happy to meet up in person when possible – whether it’s for a coffee, a walk, or to explore something we both find interesting. I'm still discovering this amazing city too, so I’d love to share that journey with you!

About the lesson

Hola! I’m Patricia, a Spanish teacher originally from Seville, Spain, now living and working in Melbourne. With over six years of teaching experience, I love helping adults feel confident and enjoy the process of learning español. Since I’ve been through the journey of learning English myself, I totally get how challenging (and exciting!) it can be to speak a new language. That’s why my lessons are thoughtful, supportive, and focused on meaningful progress – always adapted to tus necesidades reales. We start with a first session where we get to know each other and create a personalized learning plan (un plan de aprendizaje del idioma) based on your goals, important upcoming events and the situations where you most want to feel confident communicating. From there, we follow a consistent teaching plan (un plan consistente de enseñanza) that we use as a flexible reference – adjusting it as we go depending on your progress, preferences and availability. We build una base sólida y real, and I adapt our sessions depending on what works best for you – whether you prefer doing short tasks to review, learning through visuals or structured explanations, or simply having conversations in Spanish to feel more fluent and natural. I also love recommending something that connects with each student personally – like a song from Vetusta Morla if you love music, a Spanish series on Netflix, or a short story that matches your interests. You’ll always receive honest, ongoing feedback (feedback real y continuado) to help you track your progress and feel truly supported throughout the learning journey. Sessions usually last one hour and are all about helping you move forward with clarity, enjoyment and purpose.
