About Raquel
Holi!!! :) My name is Raquel and I am a MFL teacher. I have studied Translation and Interpreting in Spain (Eng/ German/ Spanish/ Catalan) and I have already worked in education for years. I love languages and I love teaching them and I hope I can trasmit this passion by showing you how beautiful it is to be able to communicate in other languages! :)

I like to base my classes on the idea that a language is not a grammar book with a thousand rules that we need to study by heart and will never use. I always try to make my students keep in mind how wonderful it is to have the possibility to meet people from all over the world. It is the only way to really understand other people's believes and ways and to really fit in another culture and feel that we belong. And for that I try to focus on the idea that what really matters is not to build perfect sentences, but fluent speeches. Main goal is to simplify the idea we want to transmit by looking for the words that we already know in the foreign language and try communicating it, without worryng about making mistakes. These will be corrected and reduced with time and patience :)
