About Lia

Hi, I’m Lia, a native Spanish speaker from Barcelona based in Melbourne. I’m currently studying at university and have experience teaching children of different ages in different subjects. I’m patient, friendly, and adaptable, and I enjoy helping students feel comfortable and confident while learning. As a native speaker, I can help students learn natural Spanish in a clear, supportive, and personalized way.

About the lesson

Hi, I’m Lia, a native Spanish speaker from Barcelona currently living in Melbourne. I have experience teaching children of different ages in a range of subjects (Maths, Spanish, French, IB...), and I really enjoy helping students learn in a way that feels natural, engaging and adapted to their level.

My approach to tutoring is friendly, patient and practical. I like to create an environment where students feel confident to speak, make mistakes and improve step by step. Depending on the student, I combine conversation, vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation and reading activities to make lessons dynamic and useful. I always try to adapt my teaching style to each person’s goals.

My lessons are usually 90 minutes, although I can also adapt the length depending on age and needs. For younger students, I like to keep classes interactive and engaging, while for teenagers and adults I can offer a more structured or conversation-based format.

As a tutor, I bring both teaching experience and a strong academic background. I am currently studying a university bachelor’s degree and have always had a strong interest in languages and communication. Being a native Spanish speaker allows me to help students learn real, natural Spanish, while also making the lessons clear and approachable for beginners.

My lessons are for children, teenagers and adults, and I am happy to teach beginner to intermediate levels, or more advanced students who want to improve fluency and confidence.
