About Salma Nayat
Hi! I’m Nayat (but you can call me Nay)
I tutor a variety of subjects including math (K-8, pre-algebra, algebra), biology, chemistry, Spanish, French, SAT/ACT prep, and general homework help. I’ve worked with many students over the years, so I’m very comfortable adapting lessons to different learning styles and academic goals.
My teaching style is patient, clear, and interactive. I like to break down complex concepts into simple steps and create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes (because that’s how real learning happens!). A little humor usually sneaks into my lessons too — studying is much easier when it doesn’t feel stressful.
Whether you need help preparing for an exam, improving your grades, learning a new language, or developing better study habits, my goal is to help you build confidence and truly understand the material.

My Spanish lessons focus on real communication while building strong grammar foundations. Students practice conversation, pronunciation, vocabulary, and practical expressions used in everyday situations. Lessons are interactive and adapted to each student’s level and goals.
My teaching style is patient, interactive, and practical. I try to make lessons feel less like a stressful classroom and more like a space where you can ask questions, make mistakes, and actually understand the material. A little humor usually sneaks into my lessons, too, learning is easier when you’re relaxed!
