About Rose

From my first small business venture—helping classmates write heartfelt love letters—to my journey into philosophy at university, language has always been a way for me to connect with people and explore the world.

As a native Chinese speaker, I am fascinated by the unique beauty of Chinese characters. Their shapes, rhythms, and hidden meanings make Chinese more than just a language—it is a way of expressing emotions, humor, and ideas.

Chinese may seem challenging at first, but once you enter its world, you will discover endless creativity: from playful homophones and internet memes in daily conversations, to the subtle emotions found in classical poetry and literature.

With my background in philosophy, especially my interest in Taoist thought, I enjoy helping students explore not only how to speak Chinese, but also the culture and ideas behind it.

Everyone has a different reason for learning a language. Whether you want to communicate naturally, appreciate Chinese culture, or explore literature and philosophy, I will help you build a learning journey that fits your interests and goals.

About the lesson

Language is more than vocabulary and grammar—it is a way of seeing the world.

Instead of memorizing endless word lists, we'll make Chinese part of your daily life. Through conversations, real-life situations, stories, films, and topics you genuinely enjoy, you'll find yourself thinking and expressing naturally in Mandarin.
