About Tanya
I first gave Chinese lessons to primary school students when I was in Sixth Form. They showed great improvements in the subject and their parents said they looked forward to their lesson every week. I obtained an A* in GCSE and a 7 in higher level Mandarin when I was doing International Baccalaureate.

I am a native speaker currently doing a Psychology with Education degree in University of Warwick.
I will first try to understand what level they are at and what they would like to achieve in these lessons.
I would also like to know what they are interested in and what they are learning in class. I will then try to fit the learning materials into what they enjoy doing since I think that it is really important for the person to like the language/ subject before they are able to do well. I usually put in a little quiz session at the start of every lesson to make sure they did not forget what they learnt the previous week.
