About Xilou
Hello everyone! I am Xilou, a passionate and patient Chinese teacher. As a native speaker from Shanghai, I am very happy to share the charm of Chinese and the wonderful Chinese culture. I believe that learning a language is not only about mastering vocabulary and grammar, but also about exploring a new way of thinking and cultural experience. My teaching method is student-centered, interactive and immersive, and develops actual language skills through real-life dialogues and task-based activities. I will incorporate Chinese culture to make learning more interesting and contextual. Each class lasts 60-90 minutes, depending on age and learning goals. I have cross-cultural learning experience and am constantly improving and innovating my teaching methods, especially for elementary and intermediate Chinese learners, including children, teenagers and adults, to help them learn efficiently in a relaxed and interesting atmosphere.
