About Arnau

I am a 20 year old Media & Communications student (BA), native to Barcelona, that has been living in the UK for the past six years. I have a bit more free time this year, and as I have already done this in the past, I think it was about time to get back at teaching languages which I really enjoy. As mentioned, I am good with children too and I enjoy seeing them learn and improve their skills, by simply doing fun activities with them speaking in my native-language.

I am lucky to live in what I consider to be one of the most beautiful places on Earth; London. This, has brought me the opportunity of getting to know many different cultures, as well as languages (which are my true passion). Apart from that, I really enjoy reading and watching all sorts of shows and movies, foreign ones especially. Moreover, I am a very sociable person; I love seeing my friends and I am always happy to meet new people. When home, I dedicate most of my time to my pets, studies and online lessons.

About the lesson

Despite having lived in the UK for years, and speaking fluent English, I usually do most of the 'lesson' in Spanish, which is the way that I believe works better.

My lessons are targeted at a wide audience, and people from any background, whether you’re a beginner or more advanced and want to ‘hone in’ on some specific topics or concepts.

I have taught the language to people of all ages, including children. I am happy to help with academic stuff as well as doing more conversational and/or informal lessons. These can be an equally effective way of learning, due to the immersion within the environment of the language. Of course, it is completely up to you. All levels welcome.

Also, having been schooled in both Spain and the UK, I am fully informed of the teaching style used in the UK and how different exam bodies assess the subject, thus being able to tailor any work for GSCE and A-Level students to their exam board's style as well. For university students, and more senior learners I am fully able to offer any support in courses/modules in Spanish or that require the use of Spanish, and can help any students who may feel they are falling behind or need to brush up their skills.

Lastly, I have experience both babysitting and teaching languages, and I am good with children. Hence, despite being open to more conventional tutoring lessons, I offer the perfect mix of teaching a language while just doing fun activities with my clients, if required.

From what I have been able to see, my method works especially well specially in young ages (5-12) as it is when learning can still be like playing to them. Furthermore, more formal structures of lessons can be offered to those of a more mature age. Hence, my available classes will cater to your specific requirements and foster a good experience for all; both children and adults alike.
