About Mei
Hello! I'm Mei from Taiwan, a native speaker of Traditional Chinese (Mandarin) and currently an MSc student at the University of Bath.
With over eight years of teaching experience, I enjoy creating relaxed and personalised lessons that help students gain confidence. Whether you're learning Chinese for travel, work, study, or simply out of interest, I'll adapt each lesson to your needs and pace.

Mandarin
I personalise lessons based on each student’s level and goals. I mainly focus on conversational Mandarin, pronunciation, listening skills, and useful daily expressions.
My lessons are relaxed and interactive, helping students build confidence naturally through conversation. In addition to teaching Mandarin, I also introduce Taiwanese culture, slang, and real-life expressions commonly used in Taiwan.
My lessons are suitable for beginners to intermediate learners, including teenagers and adults.
A typical lesson may include:
Warm-up: Reviewing and practising what we learnt in the previous lesson.
New content: Learning new vocabulary, sentence structures, and conversations.
Practice: Playing games or having conversations to practise what we learnt in a fun and natural way.
Learning a language takes time, so consistency and patience are very important. I hope to create a comfortable and encouraging environment for every student!
