About Guillem

Hello! I am Guillem, a Psychology student, passionate about learning and teaching. I have always loved exploring different ways of acquiring knowledge and transmitting it in a dynamic and creative way. I firmly believe that learning should be an enriching and motivating experience, adapted to the needs and objectives of each person.
I have always had the impetus to learn and help and/or accompany in the learning process.

I was very lucky that during my time in secondary school my tutoring teacher trusted me and taught me the tools and the necessary foundation to be able to pass and, above all, to be interested in the subjects. In short, what for the institute was a disaster and an "impossible" case, for her a case with certain difficulties and insecurities that we worked on.

What I mean is that empathy, humor and mastery of the subject matter are built and are necessary for learning.

Over time, while working and studying Psychology, I put my knowledge into practice and also learned from my students. This academic year I had the opportunity to teach at a primary school as a language facilitator. Education is the key.

I consider myself a versatile person, capable of connecting with different student profiles thanks to my curiosity about the most diverse subjects and my training in psychology, which allows me to better understand individualities and learning processes.

My Passions and Way of Teaching
Lover of reading: I am always exploring new ideas and approaches, which helps me offer innovative and effective resources for my classes.

Dynamic Learning: I don't believe in rigid or boring learning; my methods are designed to be interactive, practical and adaptive, ensuring that each student enjoys the process while achieving their goals.

Psychology as an advantage: As a passionate and eternal student of psychology, it gives me tools to understand the emotions, motivations and barriers that can arise when learning, and I strive to create an environment of trust where students feel comfortable and safe to progress.

How I am as a teacher
Empathetic and Patient: I understand that each student has their own learning pace and needs. My goal is to be a close support, guiding with patience and reinforcing confidence in their abilities.

Creative and Versatile: I like to adapt each lesson to make it unique, interesting and aligned with my students' interests, from games and dynamics to debates on current topics.

Committed to Progress: I am passionate about seeing my students progress and become more confident. I work to make each class a step toward their personal or academic goals.

About the lesson

-Personalized Methodology:
Each student is unique, so I design a plan tailored to their goals: improving fluency, preparing for official exams, or learning from scratch. Before starting, I carry out an initial assessment to identify their level and needs.

-Communicative Approach:

I prioritize oral communication so that students gain confidence quickly.
I integrate practical activities that simulate real situations (for example, ordering in a restaurant or preparing a presentation).
-Use of Multisensory Materials

-Written materials (texts, grammar exercises).
-Audiovisual resources (videos, podcasts in Catalan/Spanish).

- Interactive games (Quizlet, Kahoot).
Constructive Corrections:
Instead of constantly interrupting, I note mistakes to review at the end of the activity, encouraging fluid learning.
