About Cassandra
I have taught crochet to adult students at various county community education departments. Most of this required close attention to detail and figuring out ways to explain what the student needed to do to complete the task in many different ways. Because each person learns differently, I used visual aids, graphs, written instructions, and made links to many online resources so the students could advance their skill without my assistance in between classes. This required I give a lot of patience and attention to detail. Patience and attention to what the student needs is what I am offering.
I have worked as a Tax preparer and in Customer Service Call Centers. I recently obtained my certification in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) and am eager to apply newly gained skills in teaching ESL. I have had many years working in Customer Service and have become a good communicator as well as a good listener. I wish to bring all my combined service skills to the occupation of ESL teacher.

Because each person learns differently, I will use visual aids, verbal drills, and provide links to many online resources so the student can advance their skill without my assistance in between classes. Finding a way to make practice easy is the goal, because you need to practice daily even if you do not have class daily.
For Example:
If you have a set of specific words you need to become proficient in reading and comprehending, my agenda would be to provide you with literature that uses those words in context and explaining the context in that instance.
For Example:
If you needed to use new vocabulary in presentations, my agenda would be to present you with the various ways those words are pronounced based in which region they are being used. Then we would focus on verbal drills to get you comfortable with saying the words so they "roll off your tongue".
My target market is adults trying to improve their speech or writing, and in need of assistance in gaining greater command of certain vocabulary.
I want to see you win. Whether we are tackling 100 words or 1000 words I will help you set realistic goals so you do not become overwhelmed.
Subjects I am adept at researching are Geography, Cartography, GIS, Geology, Accounting, Business Administration and Finance.
