I am really loving learning Japanese with Shuko . She is very friendly, enthusiastic, positive and patient. I like the way she structures her lessons and she is helping me with all aspects of learning Japanese especially my pronunciation.

Shuko san really is the best! I went to her evening classes, back when I lived in England ('bout 4 years ago) and it was a lot of fun and very interactive. Also it wasn't easy to get into her classes as they were very popular! When I moved back to Germany, Shuko san was more than happy to keep meeting up with me over Zoom, and it has been absolutely brilliant and so helpful. Since she's a native speaker and grew up in Japan, she can literally answer ANY question on the language, history and culture. She is super approachable and really loves teaching! We have had so many lovely conversations about the tiniest grammar questions, but also about the biggest cultural peculiarities. She has also encouraged me to take the JLPT this December, which is why alongside the general text book studies, she also prepares me for the exam. She has definitely become more than a teacher to me. I can nothing but recommend her whole-heartedly! She will devote herself to you becoming the best you can be at Japanese.

My lessons with Shuko san are always a highlight in my week! I first started studying with her in group evening classes in 2019, and moved to private online lessons when the pandemic started. Shuko san is very skilled in both group and individual settings, and thanks to her enthusiastic, well-organised and fun teaching style, continue to enjoy my learning journey with her!

She is able to create a great balance of helping you to make progress whilst also making sure the tasks are achievable, and the lessons are enjoyable. I really appreciate the even mix of reading, writing, listening and speaking, as well as cultural insights behind why certain things exist in the Japanese language, and how this relates to everyday life in Japan.

Shuko san is also great at adapting the lessons to your personal goals for language learning, and I always feel comfortable asking questions in our lessons.

Shuko-Sensei is a superb Japanese teacher. She is patient, kind, and is well-versed in the intricacies and complexities of Japanese vocabulary and grammar. Being a native Japanese, she is able to provide additional context and interesting background information to various Japanese words as well. She has taught me for 4 years and I've gone from understanding only rudimentary Japanese to being able to handle administrative tasks and conversing in Japanese during my stay in Japan.
