About Irene
On my gap year I have started and continue teaching my native language; mandarin to a good few students for a year online as well as face to face. His confidence in pronunciation grew overtime with my consistent help along with a deeper interest about Taiwan's culture.
I also just finished volunteering as president chairing Taiwanese student society at university. Having to lead meetings with my committee, host social events intra and inter taiwanese societies with other uk universities and a big 300 people oriental ball in collaborations with other societies- all in mandarin no doubt have boosted my confidence in conversation whether formal or informal.

Each lesson, I self prepare notes specifically tailored to my students with topics of their interest and focus on improving or starting to build a strong foundation of particular skills- such as listening and speaking. This can be done through one-to-one conversation or a thorough look at useful vocabularies used on a daily basis. I can meet you at whatever level of mandarin you are at, and continue to broaden your knowledge and skills of this beautiful language. Location and time of your lessons are flexible and can be discussed.
