About Troy
I am a Gallaudet University graduate with over 20 years of teaching/tutoring Experience in and using American Sign Language. I've taught mostly secondary and post secondary students. Although my experience in teaching community members and elementary-aged students is limited, all is welcome.

I have a very diversified array of teaching methods which include, but not limited to, Visual aids (powerpoint, using objects within my reach, etc) ; Communicative Language Teaching which encourages immersion; and the Natural Method. Although I reinforce immersion through practice, I use written English (The Direct Method) to show the signs to corresponding vocabulary terms and to explain grammatical structures.
