About Funbi

I am Arawande Funbi, a graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University (B.Sc.Ed Political Science) and a native Yoruba speaker based in Ibadan, Oyo State. I have over 3 years experience as an educator and administrative support, including teaching Government to SS1-SS3 students in Edo State and working with diverse learners. I am patient, friendly, organized and passionate about helping students understand culture and language with confidence. I speak Yoruba fluently as my mother tongue and I also teach English Language for WAEC, NECO and JAMB. I believe learning should be fun, respectful and practical. I look forward to meeting you and helping you achieve your language goals!

E ku owuro! My name is Funbi, a native Yoruba tutor from Ibadan. I teach Yoruba in a simple, fun and practical way for beginners, children in diaspora, and adults who want to reconnect with their roots. My lessons cover speaking, reading, writing, greetings, proverbs, folktales and everyday conversation. I use stories, songs and cultural examples to make learning easy. Whether you want your child to speak Yoruba at home or you want to learn for travel or culture, I will personalize lessons for you. First lesson is interactive and friendly!
