About Christopher
Ive worked for ten years as a professional youth mentor, so I understand the struggles students are facing. Additionally, I have experience working in an academic research library, and have extensive training in research and writing skills. I have also offered tutorials in language and grammar at both university and graduate school level.

Words matter.
In high-school, essay writing is one of the most important skills you can learn, but it's also one of the most unusual. In even a simple essay you demonstrate skills in research, analysis, logic, grammar, composition, rhetoric, and persuasion, to name a few. Now tell me: where else in school do you use any two of those skills together? Let alone all at once!
As your tutor, I will work with you at any stage of a project to help you produce an assignment that doesn't just get a better grade, but that you're actually proud to hand in. We'll work from the assignment out, meaning that the lesson focus will be based around specific challenges you are already facing in class. I'll help you identify strengths in your work, encourage you to improve in areas of weakness, and overall help you discover the written communication skills you didn't know you already had.
I'm passionate about language, but I'm also passionate about you! My hope for you is first that you can be proud of your work. But if I do my job right, then you'll also discover the joy of language, too.
