About Jacobus
A highly organised Academic Tutor who aims to encourage and foster intellectual curiosity in her students. Maxine has the energy, passion and commitment needed to make a positive impact on students’ lives. She is someone who can not only help students with their academic goals, but also make learning fun. She believes that with the right support, everyone can learn. In her current role, she manages her time effectively between tutoring, marking workbooks, and meeting with learners on a one to one basis. Aside from this she has a proven ability to challenge thinking, foster debate and develop the ability of students to engage in critical discourse and rational thinking. On a personal level she can interact effectively with all levels of district personnel, community organizations, agencies, students and parents. Right now, she would like to join a school that is passionate about its team, work, and achievements.

Organising, planning and delivering interactive and engaging sessions to groups of students.
Working with students in all phases of their education such as homework and revision.

Supporting the Curriculum Manager in the successful operational management of the curriculum area.
Actively promoting the School’s policies at all times.
Monitoring standards of student uniform and hair, etc. and dealing with any infringements.
Putting together detailed syllabus/course outline information and presenting this to senior academic staff for their review.
Keeping learners’ records as required by the school, including initial assessment and Learning Agreements records.
Assigning homework work, marking it and then correcting it.
