I think it’s easy to say that people are characterised into groups: English people and Maths people.
I’m definitely an English person! I’ve always had a love of literature and it’s my passion to share my knowledge with you.
I enjoy helping people of all ages develop a passion for literature and English. I think a teacher makes a subject enjoyable, and I know I can.

In high school I achieved English Scholarship alongside Excellence all throughout my junior and senior years. I currently am studying at the University of Otago majoring in Law with a minor in English Literature.
My strengths in English would definitely be classics and writing. I’m also very familiar with NCEA examinations and know how to ace them.
When it comes to my sessions, I ensure that the lesson is focused on what my student has expressed is a struggle for them, and my aim is to break the content down into digestible pieces that would normally not be done in class. This is to ensure thoroughness and to make sure that my student is on track with meeting their goals that we set at the beginning of our sessions.
