About Olivia
I am a recent graduate of New York University with a Bachelor's degree in Italian Studies. In 2022, I studied and worked in Florence, Italy from August to July, taking courses at both NYU Florence and the Università di Firenze. During my time in Florence, I also completed an internship conducted fully in Italian at a cultural association where I worked four days a week at a Florentine Renaissance villa. For the past three years, I have taught Italian at a language immersion summer camp for kids and adolescents. This past year, I worked as the Italian Language Curriculum Coordinator for this same camp. I also have experience teaching English to speakers of other languages online.

I welcome students of all levels, including complete beginners! As the majority of my language learning and language teaching experience has been within immersion environments (only speaking, hearing, reading, etc. the target language), I try to use as much Italian and as little English as appropriate based on the student's comprehension. However, I tailor the lessons to you and your goals! I love to use music, videos, and articles in Italian to teach vocabulary and grammar, alongside structure grammar and vocab exercises, all with the goal that you can COMMUNICATE in Italian! I will meet you where YOU are and do my best to support you any way I can. :) I hope to meet you soon! Grazie e ci sentiamo!
