About Becky
My name is Becky, Mrs. Jones to over a thousand students in grades 1-8 since 1987. I graduated with degree in Elementary Education grades 1-8 and Special Educatuin grades K-12.
I began my teaching career in elementary school, grade 2. Then grades 3 and 1 followed, which led to two years in 4th grade and ten years teaching 5th grade. Life then took me to middle school where I served as a reading interventionist, and a 6th grade teacher of English, Language Arts, and History. The last 8 years of my teaching career were spent teaching 8th grade US history, and to say I miss my students and much of classroom life is an understatement, indeed.
However, I’ve found tutoring keeps me connected as an educator, while helping and encouraging students as they navigate academics and school life.
* I an also a 200 hour certified yoga teacher and wellness facilitator with a focus on social- emotional learning.
