Finding a brilliant tutor is rare, but finding someone who remains a dedicated educator and mentor for over 6 years is truly special. Claire has guided both of our daughters through their English education with incredible skill and kindness. She has a remarkable ability to make challenging concepts easy to understand and always create an encouraging environment where it is safe to make mistakes and learn. Our daughters moved from a mentality of " i can't do it, I suck at English, it is too hard" to " I know how to do that".

I first met Claire nearly two years ago when I was looking to improve my A-level English grade. I particularly appreciated her detailed approach to analysing poetry, as well as the useful feedback she gave me on essays and other written work. Thanks to Claire’s help, I improved my English grade by two grades and am now studying History at Durham University.

Claire has been incredibly helpful with our son’s 11+ preparation, building his confidence and improving his English skills. I’m delighted to recommend Claire who is a really outstanding tutor; amongst the Hampstead mums, she is our secret weapon! After several false starts with others, I was given Claire’s name by a friend. She is extremely well qualified and this is her full-time job. She taught my eldest daughter from year 7 through to A level and they still keep in touch, she loved her lessons. My second daughter was underachieving and not very motivated, she started in year 10 and raised her grades from 4 to an 8 with Claire’s help. My youngest son is quick to make excuses and dash off his homework set by Claire, but I’m glad to say she keeps in close touch to ensure that we work together to make sure he achieves what he is capable of. Claire has a real rapport with children and teenagers who love their lessons and her!
