As a coding instructor, I take a hands-on, problem-first approach that sets my teaching apart from traditional lecture-based methods. Instead of starting with long theory sessions, I begin each topic by presenting a real-world problem or project that students can relate to. I use “reverse engineering”—showing a finished piece of code or an app, and then guiding students step-by-step to break it down and rebuild it. This not only enhances comprehension but also helps develop critical debugging and analytical thinking skills from the start.
To foster deeper understanding, I implement interactive live-coding sessions where students write code alongside me, make mistakes in real time, and learn how to troubleshoot effectively. My classes also include mini-hackathons, peer code reviews, and gamified challenges to keep learners engaged and competitive in a healthy way.
I blend technical instruction with soft skills training, encouraging students to document their code, explain their logic, and collaborate in teams—just like in real software development environments.
