About Jennifer
Hello! My name is Jennifer. I am a qualified primary school teacher and currently work as a SEN Teaching Assistant. I have over 15 years’ experience supporting learners of all ages, from Reception to Year 6, and I am passionate about helping people build confidence in English. Before teaching, I worked as a police officer, which helped me develop patience, clear communication skills, and the ability to put people at ease. I also have experience teaching English to adults in China, which is where my passion for teaching began. I am a parent to a 5-year-old and a 14-year-old, so I understand the importance of making learning relaxed, engaging, and practical. My goal as a tutor is to help learners of all levels feel comfortable using English, improve their speaking skills, and gain confidence in a friendly, supportive environment. I love seeing learners grow in confidence, and I tailor every lesson to suit each individual’s needs and pace. Hello! I provide relaxed, confidence-building English lessons for adults of all levels. My focus is on helping learners feel comfortable speaking, understanding, and using English in everyday situations. My approach is friendly, patient, and tailored to each learner. Lessons are structured around conversation, reading, writing, and oral expression, depending on your goals. We work at a pace that suits you, with no pressure and no judgement — the aim is progress and confidence, not perfection. I am a qualified primary school teacher and have over 15 years’ experience supporting learners in schools, from Reception to Year 6. I also previously taught English to adults in China, which is where my passion for teaching began. Typical lessons are 60 minutes, but we can adjust based on your needs. I specialise in helping learners who feel nervous, want to improve conversational skills, or need practical English for work, travel, or daily life. If you want supportive, friendly, and effective English lessons, I’d be delighted to help you build your confidence and enjoy learning English.
