About Alexandra
Hi :)
My name is Alexandra. I am French, I originally come from Strasbourg in France, and I am now living near Toronto, in Canada.
I have always been interested in teaching French as a Foreign Language. It started when I took teaching as part-time job while living in Japan for year. I really loved having the opportunity to share my language and culture, therefore I decided to make it my full-time job!
After getting my Master's Degree in teaching French as a Foreign Language from the University os Strasbourg, France, I became a full time teacher at the International Institute for French Studies of the University of Strasbourg. I also worked for the French Department of the University of Beijing. After moving to Canada, I decided that instead of being tied to a physical workplace, I would prefer switching to 100% online teaching and be able to do my job from anywhere in the world. I also really enjoy one-on-one teaching as it gives me the chance to know each of my students and follow their pace.
I believe that language learning is a journey, and that it shouldn't be stressful!

Experienced French Teacher with a background as a university and language institute teacher.
Lessons are 100% online, on Zoom.
One-one lessons only.
I work with students from level A0 (complete beginner) to level C2 (advanced).
For high-school students (from 15 years old), and adults (18+).
Types of lessons:
- General French following the student's pace and needs: we can work on all skills or focus on some specific skills such as listening or speaking only. For students who prefer more laid-back lessons or who are not pressed by the time.
- Academic French: we will follow a curriculum and use textbooks in order to help you reach your targeted level. For students who prefer academic lessons or need to reach a certain level within a certain time frame.
- DELF/DALF and TCF/TEF prep: we will follow the official DELF/DALF curriculum in order to reach the target level, and then focus on exam prep and strategies according to the format of each exam.
