About Joseph
I graduated from Goldsmiths University, London in 2018 with a Degree in music. Since then I have toured Europe and the US as the frontman of my band "Dutch Criminal Record" and written and released hours of music both to streaming services and to vinyl.
I'm a grade 8 trumpet and guitar player and have taught drums singing and music theory.

My Approach to tutoring is tailor made to each student. In the six years that I have been teaching music both in person and online I have learned that a standardised approach to music tuition is rarely effective. Each person has a unique connection to music and reasons for wanting to learn. So my approach to tuition is always to get to know my students tastes and their relationship to music and go from there. Music is an art, and music lessons should be about exploration and play (even music theory can be fun, trust me).
I teach anyone from 7 years old and all levels of ability from beginners up to grade 8/diploma. Typically I teach for at least half an hour though for more advanced students (Grade 5 and up) I recommend at least a 45 minute lesson.
