About Luke
My name is Luke and I am a native English speaker with a Business degree, a TEFL qualification and 7 years of international teaching experience. Having spent a significant part of my career teaching English abroad, I have worked with hundreds of students from a wide range of backgrounds, cultures and ability levels. That experience has given me a deep understanding of the challenges non-native speakers face and exactly what it takes to overcome them.
I became an IELTS speaking coach because I know how much is riding on your score. Whether you are applying to a UK university, securing a visa or advancing your professional career, achieving your target band is not just an exam result — it is a life changing milestone. I take that seriously and so every student I work with receives my full commitment, honest feedback and a clear structured path to their goal.
I believe that confidence and competence go hand in hand. Many students already have the English ability they need but lack the exam technique, vocabulary range or self belief to perform at their best under pressure. My role is to close that gap. I bring patience, professionalism and genuine enthusiasm to every session because I truly enjoy watching students grow and succeed.

My lessons are built around you — your current level, your target band score and the areas holding you back. Every student receives a personalised experience designed to build real confidence and measurable progress. From session one we identify exactly where you are and map out a clear path to your goal.
Every lesson has a clear purpose and typically includes:
Practice across all three parts of the IELTS speaking test
Live feedback on fluency, coherence, vocabulary and pronunciation
High scoring vocabulary and phrases examiners want to hear
Strategies for handling unfamiliar topics confidently
Mock exam practice so test day feels familiar, not frightening
All lessons take place online so you can study from anywhere in the world. Standard sessions run for 60 minutes with 30 minute sessions also available. My style is communicative and student led — you will be speaking from minute one.
I am TEFL qualified with a Business degree and 7 years of international teaching experience across diverse backgrounds, ages and ability levels.
