About Francesca

My name is Francesca and I am a 21-year-old student at the University of Bologna where I study foreign languages and literature (English, French, German). I have just finished my Erasmus at Trinity College in Dublin. It is in Dublin that I started teaching Italian, even though before that I used to tutor for English and French. I have a C2 English certification and a B2 French certification.
Essentially, I love studying foreign languages and other countries' cultures, and I also love to teach my mother tongue to anyone who is interested in the Italian language and culture!

About the lesson

I mainly have experience teaching Italian to beginners, but I have tutored intermediate and advanced students as well, so I can adapt to different levels.
I always recommend buying a textbook so that we can start from there since it offers all different kinds of activities from reading, comprehension, listening, exercises on vocabulary and grammar, etc. Of course, we do not have to follow the book in every detail: this changes depending on the student's needs, but I highly recommend it, especially for beginners. Precisely because every student is different and has different needs or goals, the activities vary. I have even had advanced students who simply wished to converse in order to maintain Italian, it all depends on you!
As for the length of the lesson, I normally do between 45 minutes and 2 hours (with a few minutes break in between if it is more than 1 hour).
Regarding age, I have tutored students of all ages, from children to teenagers to adults so I do not have any preference and believe it is never too late to start studying a new language.
