English is a subject that I have found it easier to succeed in once it becomes enjoyable. My approach to English literature and English language lessons is to have discussions on the deeper meanings the student sees in the text. I would help them with wider reading related to their interests that can link to the texts. I then would work on how to structure essays and what subject terminology to use. I achieved a grade 9 in both English literature and English language GCSE.
