As a phonics tutor, my teaching methodology and techniques involve a combination of traditional and innovative approaches to ensure that students understand and master the fundamentals of phonics.
My approach to teaching phonics involves breaking down words into their individual sounds, or phonemes, and teaching students how to blend these sounds together to read and spell words. I also incorporate multisensory activities such as using manipulatives and games to engage students and make the learning process more fun and interactive.
A typical lesson plan would begin with a review of previously learned material, followed by the introduction of new concepts and skills. I would then provide examples and model the skills, allowing students to practice on their own before receiving feedback and support.
