About Becki
I've worked within Psychology and Neuroscience at University level for 7 years.
BSc - University of Hull
MSc - King's College London
3+ years working at The University of Cambridge, and collaborating with 8+ UK Universities. Here I specialised in Dementia, and brain imaging. I led pioneering research in this area, and would be happy to tell you more if interested!
I have taught classes at Cambridge, and have worked for three years making science something that can be understood by everyone (representing the Medical Research Council).
I've lectured and presented at various national and international conferences, and my communication style has been shortlisted for awards.
I'm passionate about removing the unnecessary nonsense from the learning process and making it something we can all relate to and enjoy!

I teach by first understanding the style of my students and how much you already know about the topic. It's important for me to know why you want to learn this subject!
Are you looking to pick up a new hobby or using it to complement other studies. By doing so we can get to grips and figure out our own, personalised approach.
I am hands on, and like to show how each aspect of Biology / Psychology / The Brain relates to real life experiences, this way the teaching can be more tangible.
I work in an open and honest way. If you have questions, I want you to feel comfortable to ask them! No question is silly, and this is how we all learn.
I am committed to the teaching process, but equally require a commitment to learning too!

Deadly! Becki is outstanding! While I was struggling with my Neuroscience assignment, she came to my rescue. Her manner is very encouraging, supportive and clear; I highly recommend her!
Deadly! Becki is fantastic. I'm a final year neuroscience student - wanted help with essay writing which Becki was amazing with. I would send her a practice essay I had done, and she would reply with an edited paragraph that was more concise so I could see where I was being a bit too wordy. She is extremely easy to get on with and flexible to make the teaching be tailored to me. I gained a lot of confidence working with her and couldn't recommend her enough!
