About Candice
I am an Ontario Certified Teacher with a background in Psychology, English, and Communications. I am a self-starter with experience working in educational marketing, digital marketing, and conducting market research. I am most passionate about building professional relationships with students in order to support them on their academic journey. I have a background in teaching ESL to newcomers to Canada.

I have experience teaching the primary grades and 7 - 12 English and Social Studies. I have extensive experience developing online courses, teaching online and in person, and working with a diverse student population. I have had great success working with students involved in the Pathways to Education program, as well as students dealing with a variety of cultural, socioeconomic, developmental and learning barriers. I have a strong foundation in teaching ESL and have had great success teaching international students in an online classroom setting.
I integrate STEM approaches into virtual learning on a consistent basis and I incorporate a wide variety of alternative educational teaching and learning strategies, such as: the Socratic method, democratic methods of teaching and learning, Steiner and Waldorf approaches to education.
As an educator, I deeply understand the Ontario Curriculum and Growing Success documents, and I possess strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
Finally, I use a wide variety of content delivery methods to engage all learning styles, and foster active listening and inquisitive performance among students. I am passionate about leading research workshops and study initiatives in order to encourage students to develop positive work habits, time management skills, and stay on track with achieving their long-term goals.
